Why not store the check-in and check-out times in the calendar? This way users can register their "office" hours automatically and easily check the hours on their paycheck with the hours in the calendar. You can create a separate calendar in Maemo that keeps track of these hours. Users can also enrich the data with relevant information of their workday. Synchronizing the calendar with Outlook is easy. Also, when storing the workhours, users must be able to generate a summary for a given period (a week, a month, a year, etc..). When a user generates a summary there must be a way to deduct breaks from the total hours. Just my 2 cents, hope you'll continue the good work!
